Alchemical Artisans is committed to making this site and the systems we build for clients usable by everyone, regardless of ability or assistive technology. Accessibility is treated as part of the craft, not a finishing coat.

Conformance target

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Most of the site meets that bar today; where a page falls short we treat it as a defect to be fixed.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML with a logical heading order and landmark regions
  • Text and interface colours drawn from a palette checked for contrast against their backgrounds
  • Full keyboard operability, with visible focus indicators
  • Content that reflows without loss of information down to 320 px and up to 200% zoom
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences
  • Alternative text for meaningful images; decorative art marked as such

Known limitations

  • Some older journal posts may contain code samples or embedded media that have not yet been reviewed against the current standard.
  • Third-party fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; if that service is blocked the site falls back to system serifs.
